Introducing Golf's Next Superstar... Ryo Ishikawa

GOLF - Young Japanese golfing sensation Ryo Ishikawa has clinched a place at the British Open at Turnberry by winning Mizuno Open Yomiuri Classic at Nishinomiya in Japan. Ishikawa is only 17-years-old, and he will be playing in his second major golf championship having participated in the Masters at Augusta earlier this year.

Ishikawa has been labelled 'The Next Tiger Woods' by some commentators, but Ishikawa already has his own nickname which we at loserscomesecond are sure he would prefer to be known by, the rather catchy 'Bashful Prince'. Apparently, Ishikawa has this alternative moniker due to his polite and pleasant demeanour. We seem certain to see more of him over the next few years, never mind at the British Open, so remember the name: Ryo Ishikawa.

As you will see from the picture of him, he dresses like a good golfer should. In other words, badly. But when he wins his first major do not forget where you heard about him first!
