Darrius Vassell Kicked Out Of Turkish Hotel, And Now He Is Homeless

FOOTBALL - Darius Vassell, the former England striker, has been kicked out of the hotel in Turkey where he was living. Vassell joined Ankaragucu in the summer on a free transfer from Manchester City, had been staying in the hotel since he arrived in the country but was evicted after the club failed to pay his bills. "I don't know what's happening," Vassell said. "I don't really know what to do."

Vassell has begun his career in Turkey in promising fashion, scoring two goals in seven league games, but he migh fail to add to that tally if he has nowhere to live. However, Vassell seems keen to give it a go in Turkey. "My heart tells me I must stay here and play here, the fans made a big deal for me to come here and play and I can't abandon them now because I love football and I love playing football here in Turkey and I am sure my future is here."

We always liked Vassell as a player,and at 29 years of age feel that he must still have something left to give. But whether that is in Turkey or not, we do not know. He could always join Notts County.
